Therapist, Life Coach, and Psychological Assessment Expert

When clients come to see me, they are typically (though not always) in some form of distress or perplexity. What I emphasize, more than anything, are the inherent opportunities embedded in life’s challenges. For most people, most of the time, our most difficult and poignant struggles intrinsically point the way towards renewal and self-actualization. Healing, overcoming, and growth all go hand-in-hand. Working with my clients to discover, and ultimately act on, these covert potentials is among the most dynamic and fulfilling aspects of the work I do.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in scientifically-supported treatment modalities. As a life coach, my approach is rooted in positive (success- and happiness-oriented) psychology. My orientation is holistic. I work within a "whole-person" framework that encompasses thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and behaviors, as well as spirituality, physical activity, and even diet. I emphasize context, process, and big picture thinking. My approach is integrative. I incorporate a diverse range of techniques and approaches depending on the demands of the situation and the unique personal styles of my clients. This affords me considerable flexibility.

Again and again in my work, I find that people know more than they realize, and are capable of more than they imagine.. My greatest strength as a therapist and life coach is in facilitating a process wherein people can develop and maximize their own innate strengths.
